I personally love FFXII. If you do i would like to hear you favorite part of the game. My favorite part of the game is the gambit system. pic related Image
For you newbies out there the gambit system is basically programming your characters to do things automatically.
Also if you have any questions about the game you can ask me. :D
Oh and it is for the ps2.

I also really like the gambit system though it is kinda funny that once you get enough options you can put the controller down and watch if you "program" them right.
Hell, that's what I did fighting FFXII's super boss Yiazmat...for a good chunk of the fight (a fight which can last like 4 - 6 hours) I just set my gambits and let them go to work. Though since it was a super boss I didn't want to leave them by themselves for too long so I at least moved around a little sometimes and occasionally told them to do other things.

One of the things I like about FFXII that they fixed from previous is that when your party dies, you can switch to the other reserve members to battle and to even revive your dead members. FFX was weird in the way that you could change characters in the middle of battle (7 characters total), but if your 3 active members died, GAME OVER!!! even though 4 other party members were watching.
I also like the License Board, the fact that you can teach any character anything, and...real-time battling...not that I dislike turn-based or anything.

Yeah, I rather love FFXII, probably in the top 3 for the series for me, I thought the storyline was rather nicely done. My least favorite part I can tell you though was getting stuck in that damn flooding desert for like 5 hours. I thought the battle system was nicely done, not the best I have played but by far not the worst, it was near the top for battle systems, but I can think of a couple games I prefer.

A Good game, but I preferred FFX to it, couldn't really get into the characters or story of this one, despite it being more epic.

Kinda hated the stat and licence system, and having to farm for everything was pretty crappy. Took me awhile to get to love the active battle system too, since I'm a turn based kinda guy, and kinda loved having god-level chars xD

As for final bosses... Beating yiazmat and getting the wyrmhero blade wasn't nearly as badass as beating penance somehow, despite the 9,999 (and then 6,999...) dmg cap for a 50million hp yiazmat, and a 99,999 dmg limit for a 12million hp penance =p

Can't wait for FFXIII though, even though I have my fears >.>

FFX was my first FF game and maybe my first real RPG so it holds a very special place in my heart. It has the best character development imo which is why I loved it so much.

I actually liked the license board in FFXII, though the chars could become clones of each other but that didn't bother me too much.

As for FFX, I liked the god characters, but they made the final boss pathetically easy which really annoyed me. I like games (like Star Ocean) where they force you to fight the final boss before you can fight the super enemies. My MOST RECENT fight against Nemesis made me lose some respect for him cuz I beat him first try without even being fully prepared.

I once watched a fight against Penance on youtube (really wish I could fight him and the dark aeons myself) and I found absolutely no difficulty to it. Maybe it's different if your actually fighting him, but on the video he seemed like a piece of cake. Yiazmat gave me a lot more trouble then any other boss, though I haven't fought every superboss in FFs.

I originally didn't think too much of FFXIII cuz FF vs XIII looked so epic, but recently FFXIII has really gotten me excited.

Good series of games final fantasy is, I prefer FF8 and FFX over all of them though. But I do wanna give FFXII a try after watching a youtube video on it!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but FF8 was easily my least favorite in the series. I hated the changes they made like enemies leveling up with you and while sometimes the whole drawing magic things was interesting, most of the time it was just annoying. Characters weren't all my favorite either. Even though it sounds like I hate it, I really don't. I just think it was a downgrade from FFVII and they went back to the good stuff in FFIX and above.

I'm happy because before I wished I could fight he dark Aeons and Penance in FFX, well now I can since I downloaded and burned my own copy of FFX International along with KH2FM+.

I really hope FFXIII isn't as bad as the people on the internet says it is!!! I've already pre-ordered it so I'll find out soon enough.

Yes I can be a cheap ass I know!!! I also have Bioshock 2 pre-ordered and that is coming out in like a week and a couple days. I also bought Assassins Creed 2 when it came out a couple months ago.

You should know my list of games I want include 3 games that are already out (Demon Souls, Borderlands, and No More Heroes 2), games that aren't out yet (Star Ocean 4 PS3 (coming out I think same day as Bioshock 2), White Knight Chronicles (from Level 5)), and games that don't even have a release date yet being Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep (already out in Japan).

Those are what I can remember from the top of my head. All of which are PS3 except KHBBS which is PSP and NMH2 which is Wii.
